Bled Bike Tour: 6-Days in Alpine Wonderland

Day 1 - Arrival in Bled

Start your experience at the place that steals everyone’s hearts at first glance – Bled. This world-famous town can easily be reached by car or train and is a perfect starting point for your cycling adventure. Seize the day and indulge in leisurely biking around Bled, stroll around the emerald green Lake Bled, enjoy the panoramic views from Bled Castle, and pamper yourself with the famous Bled cream cake. If you’re coming to Slovenia without a bike, we can arrange bike rental and delivery for you, so please let us know your preferences when booking the tour. Upon your request, the bikes will be delivered to you on the day of your arrival. Also, please let us know if you need assistance with your transfers.

Day 2 - Below Jelovica - Radovljica

Pedal your way from Jelovica, the forested plateau in the Julian Alps, toward the medieval town of Radovljica. This relatively short route will take you from village to village and is perfect for exploring the beautiful Slovenian countryside. The trail features several short and steep ascents. Upon reaching Radovljica, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the Julian Alps. Take your time to enjoy the panoramic vistas and explore the town’s medieval architecture. Afterward, enjoy a fairly easy hike to Vintgar, where you can explore the beauty of the region and visit the stunning Vintgar Gorge.

Day 3 - Bled - Bohinj - Bled

Head from Lake Bled to the mystical Lake Bohinj and back. Lake Bohinj, the largest permanent lake in Slovenia, will captivate you with breathtaking nature, a peaceful atmosphere, and its pristine waters. Additional option: To top it off, visit the spectacular Savica Waterfall, a must-see for all nature lovers.

Day 4 - Bled - Pokljuka Plateau - Bled

Hop on your bike and cycle from Lake Bled to Pokljuka Plateau, renowned for its natural beauty and serene atmosphere. On the way there, you’ll pass the Zajavornik and Zajamniki mountains. Both are well-known for their traditional shepherd’s huts, green pastures, and awe-inspiring views of the surrounding Julian Alps.

Day 5 - Bled - Radovna Valley - Peričnik Waterfall - Bled

On today’s route, you will bike through the stunning Radovna Valley. The valley lies at the edge of the Triglav National Park and is famous for its natural beauty and captivating landscape. Visit the valley’s main highlight, the Peričnik Waterfall. One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Slovenia will charm you with its cascading water you can walk behind.

Day 6 - Departure

Make the most of your final day here. See the sights you haven’t seen yet or spend the day at the Lake Bled waterfront, enjoying your last slice of the famous Bled cream cake.
