Day 1 - Arrival in Bled

Start your Slovenia road trip in Bled, one of Slovenia’s finest alpine resorts. Seize the day and go for a stroll around its iconic lake, hike up to Bled Castle, enjoy the panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains, and pamper yourself with the famous Bled cream cake. Day 2 - Explore Bled and its activities

Continue your exploration of the magical Bled. If you wish to experience its historic heritage, we suggest you take a boat ride with “pletna” to Lake Bled’s famous island, and visit the church standing in the middle. Afterward, head to Vintgar Gorge, a 1.6 km long canyon in Triglav National Park, which will captivate you with its natural beauty and crystal-clear waters. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, spend your day enjoying outdoor activities like paragliding, rafting, paddleboarding, or cycling around Bled.

Day 3 - Spend the day at Lake Bohinj

From Bled, drive to Lake Bohinj, the largest permanent natural lake in Slovenia. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and spectacular views of the surrounding Julian Alps. Afterward, hike to Savica Waterfall or, if you wish to bring it up a notch, take a cable car to ski resort Vogel and enjoy the awe-inspiring vistas. In summer, you can also spend the day swimming in the lake’s deep-blue water and soaking in the warm sun rays at the lake’s waterfront.

Day 4 - Drive to Bovec

From Bohinj, head toward Bovec, an alpine town settled in the beautiful Soča Valley. The journey will take you to Vršič Pass, the highest road pass in Slovenia. We suggest you make a stop there to enjoy the panoramic views or hike the Slemenova Špica mountain peak.

Day 5 - Enjoy a day of thrill in Bovec

Bovec is known for its thrilling outdoor activities, making this alpine town a favorite among adventure-seekers. Spend the day white-water rafting or kayaking on the Soča River or opt for an unforgettable zip-line experience over the lush forests. If you’re in the mood for hiking, there are numerous trails to explore. Visit the Boka and Virje Waterfalls, explore the Kluže Fortress, or, if you’re up for a more challenging hike, head to Mangart Mountain (Mangartsko sedlo) or Krn Lakes.

Day 6 - From Bovec to Goriška Brda

It’s time for a change of scenery! Head toward Goriška Brda, where you’ll spend the night. This region, often referred to as the “Tuscany of Slovenia”, is renowned for its superb wines and will inspire you with its green hills, orchards, and picturesque vineyards. We suggest you visit two outstanding highlights on the way, the Kozjak Waterfall and the spectacular Tolmin Gorge.

Day 7 - Explore Goriška Brda

Enjoy the beautiful countryside and the gorgeous vistas. Seize the day by wandering through the striking landscape and idyllic villages, either by car or by bike. This is also an excellent opportunity to taste some of the best Slovenian wines since Goriška Brda is one of the premier wine regions in Slovenia. Day 8 - From Postojna Cave to Piran

Prepare for a day of exploring! First, stop at the famous karst cave system, Postojna Cave, one of the most visited show caves in the world. Join a guided tour and explore its intricate stalactites and stalagmites aboard an underground train. Afterward, continue your journey toward Slovenia’s most popular coastal town, Piran.

Day 9 - From Piran to Ljubljana

Let the narrow streets of Piran, its Venetian architecture, and the proximity of the sea inspire you! Seize the day and explore this coastal gem, stroll along its waterfront, enjoy coffee at Tartini Square, and hike up to the town’s walls for beautiful panoramic views. Or, if you’re visiting Slovenia in summer, enjoy a refreshing swim in the Adriatic Sea. In the afternoon, head toward Ljubljana.

Day 10 - Departure from Ljubljana

Make the most of your last day in Slovenia. Explore the streets of Ljubljana, enjoy its relaxing and welcoming atmosphere, and visit some of its most notable highlights like the Ljubljana Castle, Ljubljana Old Town, Dragon Bridge, and the famous Triple Bridge. Before departing, pamper yourself with local delicacies in one of the numerous restaurants and cafes at the Ljubljanica River.
